RESTRICTED BIKE RIDING

After passing your bike test, going from a mild mannered 125cc bike onto a larger, more powerful machine can be more daunting than most people realise. I have come up with the idea of giving accompanied instruction to "R" riders so that they can gain that essential experience.

I also very much welcome the "born again biker" who maybe has not riden for a time and just wants that wee bit of a confidence boost. As with the learner pupils, everyone will have radios with earpieces so that there will be constant contact from me. All restricted bike riding will be one on one.

To date, I am the only school in Northern Ireland to provide this service. Having spoke to Bike Safe organisers, they agreed that this service is an excellent idea that will help reduce bike accidents on todays busy roads.

Restricted bikes are a Honda CB500 and a Suzuki Bandit GSF 600.
