MOTORCYCLE TRAINING

I have been a bike instructor for almost 16years. I love my work and thrive on passing my skills to others, not just to pass your test but to keep you safe on the road afterwards when riding without instruction.

I encourage ALL pupils to improve their skills and to recognise that “a good rider” never stops learning.

Debut Drive are the only riding school in Newtownards and Dundonald that have fully qualified instructors.

I hope that my enthusiasm for riding rubs off on my pupils which will make them want to strive for constant improvement of road knowledge and riding skills.

All lessons are one on one – None of this 2,3, sometimes 4 pupils out at one time. You are paying good money to be taught so one on one is the way it is. When you turn up for your lessons, all you need is a valid license. Debut Drive supply everything; bikes, helmets, jackets and trousers.

FREE BIKE HIRE

After each 1 hour lesson, if you have an extra half hour or hour free you can go out on the bike on your own! Completely unattended (depending on tutors discretion) meaning you can get up to 2 hours riding for the price of 1 hour!. Ask Gene for more details when you have completed your first lesson.

Ride restricted 600cc machines

After passing your bike test, going from a mild mannered 125cc bike onto a larger, more powerful machine can be more daunting than most people realise. I have come up with the idea of giving accompanied instruction to "R" riders and "born again bikers" to gain essential experience and to give a much needed confidence boost.

As you are all aware by now, the new "off road" test has come into play and here at Debut Drive, we can show you the exact layout of the new manoeuvre test. The layout is measured out to within one inch of what you will encounter on "test day" so there is no shocks on the day of the test.
